Kent Street is well known for its Aviation, CoRE, Cricket and Fashion / Arts Design Specialist Programs. In addition to these programs, the school offers a broad range of secondary schooling curriculum. We cater to the diverse backgrounds, interests, aptitudes and needs of our student body from Years 7 to 12. Our Senior School courses include both Tertiary and Vocational courses which lead to your child achieving the Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE).
As a Positive Behaviour Support school, we empower your child to choose respect, be self-aware and compassionate to others. Our staff members are committed to leading educational programs that maximise student engagement through developing high order thinking skills that will equip them for the future. Many of our students take part in national and international excursions that provide unique learning opportunities and life experiences.
We are proud of our rich cultural mix and adapt our curriculum offerings to meet identified needs. Courses such as English as a Second Language, Japanese, Media, Drama, Design, Business, Construction, Politics and Food Technology continue to grow in popularity.
The school's excellent facilities and resources include a swimming pool, gymnasium, fitness centre, performing arts centre, aviation centre, two aeroplanes, excellent library facilities, turf wickets and extensive grounds. Here at Kent Street our parents are our most important partners and we value your participation. If you have any comments you would like to make or any suggestions for improvement please don't hesitate to email these to the school on: firstname.lastname@example.org.
It is my pleasure to take over the role as Principal of Kent Street, as Kath Ward begins a two year appointment as a Director of School Review in Central Office. Being deputy principal at this school for the past five years I believe that I have the knowledge and skills to build on the excellent policies and procedures that Kath has put in place. I look forward to continuing to build relationships and work with current parents, and invite any prospective new parents of students, to book an appointment to tour the school and discuss your expectations and needs for your child’s education.
Please feel free to contact the school if you have any further queries.
