On behalf of all Kent Street Senior High School staff, I welcome you and your children to our progressive school. I am most confident your child will enjoy an engaging, educationally sound experience at Kent Street.

Kent Street is well known for its Aviation, CoRE, Cricket and Fashion / Arts Design Specialist Programs. In addition to these programs, the school offers a broad range of secondary schooling curriculum. We cater to the diverse backgrounds, interests, aptitudes and needs of our student body from Years 7 to 12. Our Senior School courses include both Tertiary and Vocational courses which lead to your child achieving the Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE).

As a Positive Behaviour Support school, we empower your child to choose respect, be self-aware and compassionate to others. Our staff members are committed to leading educational programs that maximise student engagement through developing high order thinking skills that will equip them for the future. Many of our students take part in national and international excursions that provide unique learning opportunities and life experiences.

We are proud of our rich cultural mix and adapt our curriculum offerings to meet identified needs.  Courses such as English as an Additional Language/Dialect (EAL/D), Japanese, Media, Drama, Design, Business, Politics and Food Technology continue to grow in popularity.

The school's excellent facilities and resources include a swimming pool, gymnasium, fitness centre, performing arts centre, aviation centre, two aeroplanes, excellent library facilities, turf wickets and extensive grounds. Our Curtin Trade Training Centre, located on site at Kent Street, provides state-of-the-art facilities to cater for metals and welding students.

Kent Street prides itself on the wide variety of pathways to success we offer the youth of today. Your child is well supported in their endeavour to achieve.

We have long-standing partnerships with industry and the community for the ultimate benefit of your child. Our relationship with partners such as Virgin Australia Regional Airlines, the WACA, the Kentian Society, Rotary and the Rotary Residential College provide many excellent opportunities not available elsewhere.

As parents and guardians, you are the first and most important educator in your child’s life, and here at Kent Street we value your participation and feedback. Should you wish to provide some feedback or make any suggestions to further enhance the learning experiences we provide our students, please do not hesitate to make contact with the school via the following email address: enquiry.kentstreet.shs@education.wa.edu.au.

We look forward, with great anticipation, to getting to know you and your child, and working closely with you to ensure the partnership between home and school remains strong and vibrant. Together we can achieve focused academic goals, and social and emotional growth for all students.

Please feel free to visit our school at your convenience and become involved in any capacity that assists the enrichment of the learning experience for our students.

I invite parents of prospective students to book an appointment to tour the school and discuss your expectations and needs for your child’s education.

We look forward to witnessing the positive influence your child will have on our school.
