KSSHS library provides a welcoming, nurturing environment where students are welcome to make use of the facilities to study, research, read and involve themselves in social activities. We actively promote students to become independent learners.
We provide support for students:
- Loans & returns
- Ordering Smartrider cards
- Papercut printing accounts
- Password changes
- Independent study
- Research
- Project preparation
- Troubleshooting
The library is open before school, recess, and lunch for students.
- After school Study Space is offered to all Kent Street students from 3.05pm - 4.00pm on Mondays and Wednesdays. Research and assignment assistance available from teachers and a light afternoon tea is provided.
- Help logging on to school wifi from your Kent Street approved BYOD device. Please come to the desk and let us know you need help.
- Student Smartrider cards. All new students receive their first Smartrider card free of cost. Students may order a new or replacement card ($5.00) before school, recess or lunch time in the library.
- All new students receive complimentary $2.00 printing credit. Printing (Papercut) accounts may be topped up in the library.
- The library takes payments by cash or debit card for Smartrider cards and printing. No phones may be used to make payments.
Parents may load the card with money for the canteen using the Flexischools website. See www.flexischools.com.au
Book Borrowing
Students may borrow up to six of the following items for two weeks:
- Fiction
- Non-Fiction
- Magazines
- Graphic Novels
- Comics
Borrowing is not permissible if previously loaned books are overdue.
