Kent Street teacher awarded illustrious Prime Minister's Prize


It is with great pleasure to announce that Miss Suzy Urbaniak, Science teacher and CoRE Coordinator at Kent Street has been awarded the 2016 Prime Minister's Prize for Excellence in Science Teaching in Secondary Schools. This illustrious award is recognition of the outstanding quality of teaching and learning that Miss Urbaniak makes available to both her students and colleagues. She recieved a medallion and $25,000 from the Prime Minister, Mr Malcolm Turnbull, at a formal event at Parliament House on the evening of Wednesday 19 October 2016. The school also recieves $25,000 from the Department of Industry, Innovation and Science through Questacon. These funds will be used to contribute to scientific endeavour.
